Application are invited from male and female from indian citizen as per citizens Act 1995 for the following courses commencing in july 2016 for grant of short services commission in flying branch and Permanent / Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
2. Flying Branch – 200/16F/SSC/M & 200/16F/SSC/W
Age:20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2016 i.e.Born between 02 July 1992 to 01 July 1996 (Both Dates (Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial  Pilot Licence issued by inclusive). DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 2years i.e.Born between 02 July 1990 to 01 July 1996 (Both dates 6 inclusive).
Educational Qualifications: Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from are recognised University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE/BTech degree(Four year course) from a recognised University with minimum 60%marks in aggregate in all papers put together.(c)Physical StandardsIMG_2157

Physical Standards (I)Height and Weight:Minimum height:162.5 cms with correlated weight, Leg Length: Min-99 cms. Max-120 cms. Thigh Length: Max-64 cms. Sitting Height: Min-81.5 cms. Max-96 cms. (ii) Vision: (a) Minimum Visual Acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correct able to 6/6 only for hypermetropia. (b) Manifest Myopia-Nil.(c) LASIK Surgery for correction of vision is admissible in Transport and Helicopter streams of Short Service Commission (Flying Branch) if the following condition s are fulfilled at the time of Air Force medical examination:-(i)LASIKS surgery should not have been carried out before the age of 20 years.(ii)The axial length of the eye should not be more than 25.5 mm as measured by IOL master.(iii) At least twelve months should have lapsed post uncomplicated stable LASIK. No history or evidence of any complication. (iv)The post LASIK corneal thickness as measured by corneal pachymeter should not be less than 450 microns.(v) Individuals with high refractive errors (>6D) prior to LASIK are to be excluded. Candidates must not suffer from colour or night blindness.(iii)All other medical criteria would be evaluated by the Air Force Medical Authorities whose decision on the fitness would be final.

Candidates who have failed the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS)/PABT in an earlier attempt OR a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply.

3.Technical Branch-199/16T/PC/M,199/16T/SSC/M&199/16T/PC/W
(a)Age: 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2016 i.e. Born between 02 July 1990to 01July 1996 (both dates inclusive).
(b) Educational Qualifications:
Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics){AE(L)}. Candidates applying for AE(L)branch would be eligible fif they have undergone a minimum off our year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) orAeronautical Society ofIndiaor Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies. Candidates should also fulfil conditions given in Para 4 (a).

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical){AE(M)}. Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum off our year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies. Candidates should also fulfil conditions given in Para 4( b).4.Essential Subjects for Technical Branch:

5. Ground Duty Branches-199/16G/PC/M,199/16G/SSC/M&199/16G/SSC/W
(a)Age:20 to 26 year as on 01 July 2016 i.e. Born between 02 July 1990 to 01July1996 (both dates inclusive).

(c) Physical Standards (i) Height and Weight: Minimum height:-Men-157.5 Cms,Women:-152 Cms with correlated weight.(ii)All other medical criteria would be evaluated by the Air Force Medical Authorities whose decision on the fitness would be final. 6. Candidates appearing in final year/semester examinations may apply for all courses commencing in July 2016 provided they fulfil the following conditions:-(a)Candidates should not have any present back log and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together unto the last semester/year for which results have been declared at the time of on lines submission and at the time of SSB.

b) Candidates should be able to provide provisional/original degree certificate issued by University latest by 15 june 2016

TYPE OF COMMISSION:
7.Permanent Commission:Candidates join in gas Permanent Commission (PC) officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation.

8.Short Service Commission:
The Engagement period for SSC Flying Branch is Fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Not extendable).

(b)The initial tenure for Short Service Commission officers in Technical and Ground Duty Branches would  be for a period of ten years.An extension of four years may be granted subject to willingness, service requirements and availability of vacancies.
