08 Aug Myth about SSB Interviews : There is slight bit favouritism at the SSB?
Now candidates, this is an absolute myth and there is no truth in it, be rest assured there is no truth in such notions. The SSB process is completely fair and no candidates is given favouritism. A lot of people tend to believe the heresy such as RIMC/Millitary/Sainik School are given more preference to other students who are from the private or government school.
The SSB Interview Process is completely unfair process it does not demarcate whether you come from the best of school, or whether you come from village or from a cosmopolitan city or whether you come from a back ground full of defence forces or not or maybe whether you come from the family of defence forces personnel or maybe you are the ward of a serving defence personnel , what is required in the ssb and what assessors are looking for is the OLQ’s and nothing else. The selection process is completely fair and honest and person is jugged not on any other matter of fact but himself. Remember Candidates the complete Board sits down to evaluate you and not just one person, so all your OLQ’s are tested for. To make matters more clear to you it is even written at the SSB Centre no candidate will go towards the officer lines, and candidates are allotted centres which are the farthest from there home so as to have no influence on the selection process.
The complete SSB process is fair and impartial and what is looked on is the candidates self belief and his own personal traits and not that of the family he/she may belong to. Its is the only institution in the country which has no reservation.
Finally, we would like you to go there with an open mind and not think of such any of these details but have faith in yourself and your own ability. Make sure you put all such myths behind you and prepare to the best of your ability and make sure you get through your SSB and make it through to your respective goals.
