Another query that came my way was a lot many of you have not been able to clear the AFCAT Examination and what can be done now?
To all the candidates this time is not the time to ponder on how or why you did not get through was the marking correct to not..
This is the time to act on and to work on the paper itself, a major change that occurred in this papers was the reduction of the maths section ..
I will be briefly talking about the sections that are relevant in the AFCAT section of the paper,
English (comprehension, fill in the spaces, idioms, phrases, synonyms/antonyms)
Maths (arithmetic portion)
Reasoning (verbal/non verbal)
General studies Section
Now going to various parts of the paper this paper is not about only about doing questions correctly but with speed if one does not have the speed one may not be able to attempt more than 50 questions( this is one of the major concern of the majority of candidates)
I will also like to include the last few years cut off for the AFCAT Written paper ..AFCAT Cut-off 2014 and previous years cut-off analysis is given below.
AFCAT 1 2011 Cut-off – 85
AFCAT 2 2011 Cut-off – 88
Cut-off of AFCAT 1 2012 – 135
Cut-off of AFCAT 2 2012 – 143
AFCAT 1 2013 – 144
AFCAT 2 2013 – 116
AFCAT 1 2014 – 128
AFCAT 2 Cut-off 2014 – 123/300 and EKT – 45/150
AFCAT 1 Cut off 2015: 126/ 300 for AFCAT and 55/ 150 for EKT.
A candidate first should know his strength and weakness out of the earlier described sections, what topics he/she is good with and what topics are the ones he/she is not so good with..
As most of you have seen the cut offs are varying between 120-145 maximum . According to this cut-off’s a candidate must make sure that one gets 40-50 questions correct with no negatives ..
Now going to various parts of the paper this paper is not about only about doing questions correctly but with speed if one does not have the speed one may not be able to attempt more than 50 questions( this is one of the major concern of the majority of candidates). For this short cut methods are a must and without these methods a candidate may be left lacking in the paper..
Second tip, to all the candidates what makes the difference is your GURU, going to places where the teachers are half cooked or have no knowledge or little knowledge will not help you enriches your knowledge you need a GURU who can make the learning fun for you and make sure that he/she may make you feel interested in learning more . We at NEW Careers are not only hard task master but we also like making education fun for all of the candidates.
The review of our candidates speak for themselves.
We also attached a link of one of the lectures that have been added for your benefit
Third tip, is dear friends there is no short comings for success one must put in the hardwork and do not let anything deter you . Remember friends there can be 100’s of excuses for not working but there is only one path that leads to the success that is hardwork.
Fourth tip, devote more time on the topics you are not so good at compared to the topics you are really good with. Make sure that you work on the topics you are not good first and towards the paper that is by two months of the paper to occur devote equal time to all the topics.
So all my dear candidates make sure you start preparing from today onwards and let there be no excuses between you and your selection …
