18 Dec All about NDA Examination in Brief
NDA also abbreviated as National Defence Academy and is a training institute for the youth boys to turn them in officer grade that needs to be followed after nine months training. It is a tough phase that needs to be cracked for getting qualified in the three wings of defence. NDA is basically a training ground for candidates who had cracked exam of NDA entrance. The institute focuses on bringing out the best stuff by developing qualities of an officer that is prepared to focus on tasks and prepare for any tough situation that they may face in future being in this profession.
Eligibility Conditions for NDA Exam:
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics for Air force, Navy and Army whereas students with commerce and arts can also apply for army wing.
Age: 16 years to 19 ½ years
Point to note is that only male candidates can apply for NDA Entrance Examination.
Scheme of Examination:
NDA Written exam consists of two papers named as Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 comprises of mathematics that contains 600 marks for this section whereas Paper-2 comprises of general knowledge that contains 300 marks. Through these test patterns level of candidate is estimated in the field of history, civics, geography, current affairs, maths, English, politics and economics. Overall performance of student is counted in this exam let it be knowledge or aptitude wise.
Preparation of exam as suggested by experts should be done from NCERT books especially for Mathematics. Also one can opt for other options for preparation like tutor guidance, joining coaching for NDA exam.
NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year and notification is scheduled in the month of Dec/Jan for the April exam and in the month of Apr/ May to be conducted in the month of August. This notification should be filled by aspirants who are interested in taking this exam.
