The Recommended candidates appear before the medical board for carrying out their medical board after the Conference at The SSB Interview. It usually takes 4 to 5 days time for the concerned M.H. (military hospitals) to complete the l board and after that the candidates are dissent back to their respective destinations. NDA candidates are examined both for Army and Navy unless they are otherwise instructed for and the fitness status will be accorded in with the candidate. President of the medical board will guide the candidates if they do not get through various for Appeal/Review Medical Board procedures. Candidates may seek the advice of President Special Medical Board for review/appeal in case they have got T.R. (Temporary Rejection)
How to Appeal at the Medical Board.
The Appeal Medical Board will be conducted at the following hospitals
Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt.
Command Hospital, Southern Command, Pune.
Command Hospital, Eastern Command, Kolkata.
Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow.
Command Hospital, Western Command, Chandimandir.
Command Hospital, Air Force, Bangalore.
Command Hospital, Northern Command, C/o 56 APO.
INHS, Ashvini, Mumbai.
The candidates will report for medical examination within the given time i.e., 42 days from the date previous examination by the Special Medical Board for re-examination along with the propercopy of the MRO/TR as given by the President of the Medical Board. This task will be to complete the Medical Board in one day.
Review Medical Board
In case of appellant is again declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board, he/she may again appel the proceedings and might again be given a review of medical proceedings based on the conviction in the case. Any appellant desiring for a review should address the request to Recruiting Directorate (Personnel & Coord), Army Headquarters, West Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi with a copy to the President of his/her respective Appeal Medical Board within one day of the conducting of the Appeal Medical Board. The application for RMB are channelled through the DG AFMS. The final decisions for grant of RMB is with DG AFMS, and is not condition of sure shot right. RMBs are conducted at R&R Hospital Delhi Cantt and AFMC, Pune.
Stay During the Medical Examination Of the Candidates
The selected candidates after the announcement of the SSB Interview results will stay in the respective Selection Centres in the barracks marked for the selected candidates for their medical examination which are done at the Military Hospital. The candidates will be allotted fresh \chest numbers for this purpose with a + sign on it .
APPLICANTS who go for Appeal Medical Board or have to get their medical examination done at a later date due to some unavoidable reasons will do so under their own arrangements.
Discipline during Medical Examination.
It is very important that selected candidates maintain proper discipline during their stay in the respective Selection Centres during their stay due to the medical examinations. The candidates are required to put on their medical Chest Number at all times (with Red Cross) whenever they are present inside the campus of Selection Centres.
