Be Honest and Truthful The best way to be successful in the SSB Interview Tips is to be honest and straight forward. One should lie in front of the Interviewing Officer, one should speak honestly and be truthful at all times, the Interviewing Officer has enormous experience so he can very easily judge you on all the qualities. If one is honest then for sure, it will reflect in his body language also. Make sure that you are able to think of the various questions the I.O is likely to ask from you from the information you have written in your PIQ form and work out your answers well in advance, but being honest and use your tact while describing those answers.
Always Have a good first Impression- Enter the Interview room with a smile on your face, as this shows that one is not nervous. Also one should wear a formal dress in the Interview o in case you get called during your G.T.O. Walk with your head held high, with upright shoulders and chest. This gives a candidate a positive and confident look. Also, before entering into the Interviewing Officers room ask for his permission and wait for the response, if you get the response from I.O then open the door and come in with a smiling face (the smile should be genuine) and move ahead into the room with full of confidence, and wish the officer as per the time of the day.(good morning, evening etc.)
Have a Positive Body Language Your body language depicts so much about you to the Interviewing Officer rather than what one says from his mouth. The Body Language technique is a subject in the Defence, Master of Business and Administration (M.B.A) , Investigations and in various private agencies who recruit. The body language gives an idea about the persons way to work. His reaction in stressful conditions as well his reaction to various things that are happening around him. For instance when in doubt a lot of people start rubbing their hands or start caressing their hair. These are all negative signs that a body gives by themselves.
Presence of mind and Analysing capability- The analysing capability is an important quality which an officer and most of the candidates who wish to see themselves successful must posses. For this an I.O checks whether one is using his/her analysing capability while handling various tough conditions which are given to him/her.The I.O.can do this by asking or questioning the candidate on various conditions which could be in response to various situations.
Have Self Confidence Again this is something which can make or break a candidate. During the Interview candidate needs to never be in self doubt and have faith in his own ability. A person who has faith in his own ability can express his opinion also well and give well detailed answers to everything that is asked to him, without any mistake. On the other side a person not having self confidence will make mistakes while speaking, he/she will not be able to answer everything with proper precision required. Self Confidence in the SSB interviews at time also comes down to spoken English, remember what is important is not your grammar but the way you speak . Any answer spoken confidently in broken up English is better than non confident answer but in proper english. So do not let the English Language be a deterrent to you.
