1. Respect Wherever You Go
The dress you wear ( be it the olive green, blue or white) makes people come unto you and salute you. A person might be earning crores but the dress and the stars are with much more than them, and no man even wearing an Armani/gucci suit can match the respect one gets which the rank and the stars.. The stars on your shoulder can even put the real stars to shame.

The job security in India private companies is not as much as it is there in defence. Plus to top that the salary now is great, earlier one joined only to continue a tradition or for honour. But now the grade pays have been boosted . In an economy which is always fluctuating, having a defence job is the best for us because one will not leave his job nor asked. There is no salary cut’s and also one is not affected in anyway with the changing economy trends. All you earn is why you save.

Not many people understand the style and charisma that sticks with the men in uniform. Beleive me, there is nothing more appealing than a smart officer turned up in a crisp uniform. You can never buy that outfit outside. Like the Bournville ad, you have to earn it to understand it. The pride which comes along with wearing the uniform is out of the earth and you must experiance it to understand it.
10. First Priority Physical Fitness
An Armed forces officer is based on his physical fitness. I need not got any further than the present day Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag is the fittest person you would ever see. At the present age he can give the youngsters a run for their money. From the time of your training to being a part of the unit one is encouraged to take sports.
